Considered a student quarter as it borders the University of Toronto, this downtown Toronto neighbourhood lies within the boundaries of Dupont, Bloor, and Bathurst streets, and Avenue Road. It is an affluent neighbourhood with highly-educated residents. The tree-lined streets of the annex provide a beautiful foreground for the stunning homes. Mostly residential, the Annex is home to many Victorian and Edwardian homes and mansions that were built between 1880 and the early 1900s.

The homes here are incredibly unique, with elements from both the American Richardson Romanesque and the British Queen Anne style. This makes for homes that have beautiful rounded arches, and detailed turrets. These houses were originally built for the upper class of Toronto, and as they moved away over time, many of these gorgeous houses were subdivided into apartments, allowing for more tenants and lower costs.  Not only is it a beautiful neigbourhood, it is also incredibly lively, as it is bordered by bustling Bloor Street.
